About brenda (Rubin) tscharner
Brenda Tscharner has an extensive career in the luxury and lifestyle hospitality industry. She has 25-plus years of combined management experience with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Viceroy Hotel Group and Proper Hospitality in Human Resources leadership roles. Brenda spent the first 14 years of her career with Four Seasons in both Human Resources and Training & Development functions at four locations. She later joined the KOR Group and helped to transition the portfolio from a small boutique hotel company to an international hotel brand with the formation of Viceroy Hotel Group. Brenda has been involved in numerous domestic and international hotel acquisitions, transitions and openings.
She joined Proper Hospitality to lead and grow the H.R. Division and to partner with the Executive Team to establish the company's cultural values. She demonstrates a defined skill set in team building, authentic leadership, aligned communication, colleague retention, and risk management. In addition, she has extensive experience in on-boarding and training initiatives at all levels. Brenda holds a B.A. Degree in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership in La Jolla, California.
